VANDROS CORRIDORSuccession disputed

Campaign background · Imperial briefing

The Vandros Succession

One vital passage.
Two claims to power.
An Imperium divided.

Surrounded by hazardous warp space, Vandros commands a reliable route to the wars beyond. Its beacons guide the ships. Its fortresses defend them. Its dockyards keep them moving.

Now Governor Aurelian Veyr is dead, and the authority that held this system together is passing into dispute.

The crisis

Loyalty is no simple matter.

A dynasty at an impasse

House Veyr has governed Vandros for some two thousand years. Lady Cassia Veyr, the late governor’s daughter, governed during his decline and commands powerful local support. Her cousin, Lord Severan Veyr, holds an older registered nomination and recognition from the sector authorities.

Conflicting orders

Imperial Guard formations are arriving to secure the Corridor. Cassia’s defenders are ordered to hold their installations; incoming troops are ordered to take control. Both sides claim to serve the Emperor. Neither accepts the other’s authority.

A system under strain

At Veyr Gate, Kharon Bastion and Crown Dockyards, the question of succession is becoming a question of command. Beyond them, disturbing reports reach the system from the Outer Watch. The crisis is still unfolding.
